Declared School for the Environment majors work with their faculty advisors who are professionals in the student's area of study. Additional support is provided by AASC@SFE. For an appointment email AASCSFE@umb.edu.
All students should regularly review the undergraduate student handbook for the year in which they enrolled in the School for the Environment.
Upper level students are strongly encouraged to attend the School for the Environment seminar series which focuses on professional development and preparation of employment post-graduate school.
All first year students in the School for the Environment participate in the AASC@SFE First Year Experience which integrates the first year seminar course with hands-on learning, field experiences, professional development and co-curricular learning opportunities designed to build a foundation for future success.
In addition to the AASC@SFE First Year Experience first year students are connected to research and internship opportunities early in their careers to reinforce classroom learning and leverage the extraordinary assets of our faculty and our partners.
Residential and non-residential students may also participate in the Green Planet Living-Learning Community which is designed for non-majors and majors seeking additional co-curricular learning activities across the environmental and sustainability fields.
